X4273 Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} / NOV 27 1922 RECEIVED EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} /Thnl/H25/25.11.22. X4273 X4075 re. GOSHAWK CHASSIS FOR ABROAD. With reference to your memo Sg {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 10/BM/24.11.22, (copy attached for Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ), the present standard for Goshawk ignition is the 40/50 type stabalite coil with 25" ballast, and this is the only type of ignition which we are able to fit at the moment on production cars. The Experimental Department have a number of schemes in hand for ignition for the Goshawk chassis, and we shall be glad if Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will write to Mr. Sidgreaves telling him exactly what is the position in regard to same, so that a decision can be arrived at, as to whether the Goshawk chassis for abroad are to be held up, or whether they are to be despatched with the present ignition as above.
