1020a January 24th.1938 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}3/AP. Messrs Dennis Bros, Guildford, SURREY For the attention of Mr.J.Milne. Dear Sirs, With reference to the Aluminium-Tin bearings supplied to you recently, could you give the writer any information on how the tests are progressing. When you have the bearings down, the writer would like to have a look at them and bring along Mr.Howlett, who is going to handle this material commerically and he expressed the wish to visit some of the firms we had already supplied, in order to gain a little experience of the metal. Mr.Howlett is eventually going to make the experimental sets which will be a better arrangement as we are having to produce the bearings in our Experimental Shop, which means considerable delay. Can you, therefore, please let the writer know an approximate date on which it would be possible to visit you with Mr.Howlett. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
