Front Wing Dithering on Bentley. -------------------------------- We have had two cases of front wing dithering, 1-B-IV and 4-B-IV, which was improved 30 to 50% by increasing the torque reaction damper loads. On 1-B-IV the friction load was brought up to 30 lbs. with no increase of vibrations from the engine. On 4-B-IV the friction load was made 15 lbs., in this case higher loads brought up vibrations from the engine. In both cases, however, a considerable improvement was made to wing and head lamp steadiness. Ha/G.W.Hancock. | ||
