To. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X402 E.4/HP.5.7.32. re Peregrine. Following telephone conversation with you this afternoon regarding stroke of Peregrine, I had a few words with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} on the subject, and he agrees with me that the performance of the Peregrine will not suffer by the reduction of its stroke from 4.125" to 4; provided we reduce the axle ratio by approximately 3%.
