ENGINE FRONT SUSPENSION. Please find herewith a blueprint of LeC. 2876., shewing a revision of the above on the lines you propose, carrying the engine by means of brackets mounted on the wheelcase. There is room allowed for detaching the endless fan belt after the starting shaft has been withdrawn. The space available for the pivot bearing and fixing is very restricted and we should like to push the radiator forward a little on this account. With reference to the fixing of the pivot pin one scheme would be to use two spring rings as in the sketch but it does not appear to us that a floating pin is suitable. We should like to use a biting in bolt on each eye but some further reduction of the pivot bearing width will be necessary to do this. x7005. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
