RE 19 EX.

I have received your memo HS. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2/MJ.2.E.33.

A. {Mr Adams} B. Roberts has been instructed to write out the report you require. The brakes on this car were very poor when the car arrived, the servo efficiency not being up to standard. This was dismantled and oil was found on the front fabric. This comes from the over lubrication of the servo. The bijur should be cut down to an O. {Mr Oldham} we have, for the time being, cut it off altogether. The servo has been dismantled three times, bedded and run in before its efficiency was normal. The effect of the dampers has been tried during the intervals of alteration to the servo.

To-day we have taken off the Hartford shock-dampers and are trying the effect of the progressive dampers at various speeds. The two bakelite mouldings are also being fitted to the radiator mounting.
