(5) Thermostat operated shutters are required.
(6) Scheme of extra oiling when starting from cold.
(7) An oil filter which is accessible.

We have recently received designs for several schemes making change gear easier, which so far have not been tested. There is no doubt considerable development work will have to be done in this direction.

We have also received schemes for bringing the 20 HP. in line with the SS.{S. Smith} using Hypoid rear axle etc.

We have also received a slipper wheel which automatically varies the friction load which we hope, when proved out, will avoid continually adjusting the slipper wheels.

We have still all the usual difficulties of piston noise, brake squeaks, and exhaust noises, which are always more or less trouble.
