Contd. -2- EFC2/T21.4.22. I, however, wrote another report EFC5/T8.9.21 in which I pointed out that unless we increased the size of the battery and the motor cables at the same time, the whole advantage of this change in the motor would not be effectively secured. It is for this reason that we have launched all these standardisation sheets at the same time, anticipating all the changes to occur on production at the same time. Therefore, except for the item of solid poles and no armature plate insulation, it is really a case of standardising all or none. We, as the experimental dept., naturally advocate the change, particularly as we now have an opportunity of getting these larger and much improved batteries for the same figure as we are paying for the present standard. We trust these few remarks will put you in a position to express your individual opinion on the subject which is, of course, the purpose of sending round the standardisation sheets. EFC. | ||
