FT WYHAN BENTLEY 111 - EXHAUST FITTINGS. Herewith please receive blueprints of :- E.CD.968 Front Silencer - Bentley 111. E.CD.969 Rear Silencer - Bentley 111. These are advance prints issued only to enable the support brackets for silencers, which are welded to the chassis frame, to be made and welded to the frames before sending chassis to coachbuilders. The designs are not final, as we are still awaiting the results of the experiments regarding capacities of silencers, etc. so that the brackets welded to the chassis frame only should be made, the remaining parts for silencers and suspension should await the final issue of the designs. We understand there are two chassis requiring these fittings, which are almost due for delivery to the coachbuilders, one being a B.V. chassis and the other a B.50. Will you please have the brackets made and fixed to chassis as soon as possible. We are also sending particulars of the tail pipe support for these chassis shortly, so that they also may be welded to frames. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
