Re: THE TITAN SAFETY STEERING STABILISER.

Mr. E.A. Back of the above concern called at the Works this afternoon, and as his card was brought to us we interviewed him.

It transpires that he has written to the Company addressed to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} a letter asking that if and when a customer having a Rolls-Royce or Bentley car desires to have fitted a Titan Safety Steering Stabiliser whilst the car is still under guarantee he may do so with the approval of the Company. We promised to inform you of the purpose of this visit.

As far as we are concerned, we do not like the device. Whilst it may hold the car on the straight course with a burst tyre, we do not agree that the inertia is such that it cannot be felt during rapid steering such as is experienced during the correction of the skid. We understand from the Experimental Department that one of these stabilisers was fitted for a time to Vulture.
