BENTLEY IIA. BRAKES - 6.B.IV.

On 6.B.IV we have found it necessary to set the stop on RR.Sch.1116 so that the head of the bolt which strikes the cross member is 0.900" from the underside of the boss on lever GB.3012. We have had to set the pedal stem so that the underside of the pedal plate is 5 1/2" from the floorboard, measured along the pedal stem. This brings the clutch and brake pedals level. Will you please note these figures on your drawings: we will confirm them should we ever build another Bentley IIA.

The temporary stop on the servo actuating levers is not strong enough, it can be bent. It is therefore necessary to proceed with the drawing of the cam levers with stops integral and similar to the stops on the latest Bentley III cam levers, i.e. at a greater radius than the clevis pins.
