X6051 S/W. EFC...from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} H.E. X6051. PN.{Mr Northey}4/WT10.3.31. RECEIVED 11 MAR 1931 A.T. Speedometer. After much discussion and correspondence I thought we had arrived at a modus operandi for the future in connection with our speedometer, taking into account all the various factors which tend to interfere with any desired accuracy, such as :- (a) Rise of temperature of the movement. (b) Increase of tyre diameter at higher speeds. (c) Slip etc. it being understood that you were going to instruct A.T. in respect of a specially graduated dial to suit our requirements, keeping in view that we felt justified in this speed indication being up to 5% fast at the highest speeds and the mileage shown being practically 100% accurate when taken along a measured mile slowly. It appears however from the criticisms of certain owners that we appear to be in much the same position as we were six months ago, which is very disappointing. Will you please let us know how the matter stands so far as you are concerned, and if there is any reason which prevents your instructing this special dial referred to. The matter is one of considerable urgency. PN.{Mr Northey} | ||
