re 4.B.50.
Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/RH.{R. Hollingworth}25.5.41.

Our proposals for deleting the built-in headlamps on 4.B.50. are shewn on PL.170 (Size 4) issued in Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}6/JH.22.4.40.

The headlamps are of the latest pattern as used in Ripplet 2.R.2. and are mounted on the cat walk as on that car. The front wings are modified by removing the bull-nose or high forhead appearance in side elevation which was necessary to accommodate the built-in head lamps. Actually it was intended to cut and shut the existing wings.

This information was telephoned to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} yesterday.
