Under these circumstances we suggest that the only items on which extra help could be usefully employed are (3) and (4), andthese could be produced by E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and F. {Mr Friese} design sections respectively.
If this is done then all of the design work on the box will be in progress without any two men overlapping.

EAC. ENGINE AND ELECTRICAL WORK.

Any assistance rendered on gearbox work still leaves room for attention to new urgent EAC. engine work which has arisen and for the completion of EAC.1V. electrical equipment, controls, undershield etc.

EAC.1V. BRAKES AND CHASSIS.

As regards EAC.1V. chassis the 4 wheel brakes for slow speed servo are now receiving attention and there is a fair amount of work also to do on the chassis which must be done if we are to have a chassis ready to receive the 4 speed box.

In conclusion we see no reason why the four wheel brake problem and the 4 speed gearbox should not receive every help that can be usefully applied to speed up the design to the utmost, and yet allow other work to progress which will be equally required to make a complete EAC.1V. chassis.

E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
