To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X8770 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG10.3.25. 93-NK CAR. EAC. 'V' SERIES. 93-NK which is the second car to start a 10,000 miles test should have the following new parts fitted, compared with 98-NK :- 1. Drop forged engine support arms. 2. New pistons (a) To avoid breakages. (b) To avoid gudgeon pin knocks. (c) To reduce oil consumption. 3. Radiator in which the shutter controls have been modified, the shutters having .125" clearance on the bottom plate. Radiator inlet modified to avoid loss of water. 4. New engine guards and gearbox undershield. 5. Modified steering. 6. Modified shutter control on instrument board. 7. Modified governor control on throttle. 8. Return spring on Governor. 9. New magneto drive coupling. 10. Stiffer operating levers and shaft for clutch. 11. New arrangement for springs on exhaust cutout. 12. Improved lagging and clips for exhaust pipes, & front silencer 13. Longer bearing for clutch pedal. 14. Stiffer springs in clutch - 220 lbs. 15. Water pump packed with whitemetal washer in place of leather. 16. New high tension ignition tube. 17. Latest type fan. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
