Mr. Claude Johnson,
Managing Director,
Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
London, England.

Attention: Mr. Hives.

Dear Sir:-

X3924 Re: Perfection Heaters

I wish to thank Mr. Hives for his letter Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG24.9.20.

We shall be using one or two Perfection heaters on American cars, and will arrange to use the standard heater with perhaps improvements in the pipe joints if the manufacturers will agree to do this for us.

In reply to the last paragraph of Mr. Hives' letter, we think that it would be quite a convenience to have a connection on the silencer for connecting up an exhaust heater, but we do not think that in view of the small number of heaters which are ordered it would be necessary for us to supply the valve. We think that the makers could probably be persuaded to make up a valve for Rolls-Royce cars improved to suit our ideas.

Very truly yours,
ROLLS-ROYCE OF AMERICA, Inc.

Per M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley
