Re D.W.S. Jacks.

Thank you for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LID{A. J. Lidsey}1/MA22.11.32. I note that the question of these jacks on Phantom ll. chassis has now been settled and they will shortly be standardised.

With regard to the 20/25 HP., I understand that the Makers are re-designing the jack, the thickness of which is now 2 1/2", and that they are considering whether it is possible to make a similar fitting on the 20/25 as they do on the 40/50 HP.

I understand that Mr. Sessions is coming up to see you on Thursday.

With regard to the fitting on the rear axle, [handwritten: 20/25] the new type jack will give a ground clearance of approximately 7" which, in the position it is fitted under the spring clip, does not appear to be too bad for road clearance.

Perhaps after you have seen Mr. Sessions you will be good enough to let me know what has been fixed.

J.L.E.
