We had Mr. Mainwaring of Messrs. Smiths here yesterday, and went over with him the criticisms which have been raised in connection with the Sample instruments which we sent him. We also settled with him how the instruments should be delivered. for use on production card. We have sent into the Stores, five speedometers, five clocks, and five petrol gauges. This means that you are still short of ammeters and thermometers. The ammeters are being supplied by Messrs. Lucas and are promised for tomorrow.
