We have now completed the investigation on the failure of the Lucas WT.13. horn which occurred on 8.B.V. during the recent 15,000 mile trial. Messrs. Lucas report :- "One horn in perfect condition but the other had a broken lead from terminal Block to contact breaker" They also add that this is an isolated case, another example of which they cannot recall. Our tests proved that the fault was intermittent, such as would be experienced with a loose or poor electric-al joint. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} | ||
