Dear Mr. Hines, Very many thanks for your letter of the 19th instant and your reply to my queries. I was very pleased to note that the Rapson tyres we have supplied you with for test purposes gave, in the first instance, a considerably better result than you experienced with other makes and that with the retreads, Rapson tyres will give more than double the average mileage you have experienced in the use of other makes. Considering that the average speed varies between 30 and 35 miles per hour - which means that speeds on clear roads must exceed 50 and 60 miles per hour - I consider 8,000 miles on the rear tyres to be quite good. Would you be good enough to let me know if you have experienced any troubles during your trials of our Rapson cord tyres ? With regard to the 33 x 5 tyres which you require for high speed work in France on your 40/50 H.P. model car. I note you require in addition to the four for running purposes, four spares and these will be at your Works by Monday next, making eight in all.
