To R.{Sir Henry Royce}) Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}) By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}) CWB.) P.N.) from BJ. BJ3/H19.3.26. X5430 STEERING LOCK. The following is an extract from a letter received from P.N. at Monte Carlo, dated 16th March:- "Steering lock. I think that every effort should be made to improve the angle of turning to the right hand on the Phantom. I find that going up certain hairpin corners where to the left I can still give as good an impression as before F.W.Bs{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} were introduced; but when coming down again I may have to reverse. If we can improve this point it will be a great advantage in these parts. Meanwhile it is worth noting that having the front ends of the front wings pointed, as on my car here, instead of being rounded as usual certainly does help this point." B.J. | ||
