BY/Cgh.{W Clough} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X 5410. BY.8/G.5.1.32. 20/25 HP. ROAD SPRINGS. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} in discussing road springs over the telephone has told me definitely that they do not want to fit any stiffer or higher rated springs on the 20/25 in future. The above means that our stiffest spring will be the old standard, and the general type of spring should be the low rated. If it can be possibly avoided, even if a customer requests it, we should not fit friction dampers on the 20/25 as it spoils the riding. So far we have only fitted them to customers express requirements, and in conjunction with higher rated springs. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
