W. Rowbotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited.,
DERBY.

Dear Rowbotham,

All the 4¼ litre Bentleys I have driven have been most lumpy in slow running, and the clutch has been very fierce. Is it not possible to go back to the same clutch as on the 3½ litre Bentley, which is much sweeter in operation?

Yours sincerely,
Jack Barclay

Hancock reports a clutch on one of Jack Barclays cars that was not good even with prop shaft damper fitted.
We should investigate
