Dear Barclay,

Many thanks for your letter of the 4th May.

As you probably know, I have only just returned from America. I would be very grateful if you would contact with Lee Evans next time you get a bad 4 1/4 litre Bentley clutch, and ask him to communicate with me.

I am absolutely certain that there is no need for a 4 1/4 litre Bentley clutch to be any worse than a 3 1/2 litre.

With regard to idling, the lumpiness can be reduced at the expense of a certain amount of low speed performance. If you are prepared to sacrifice some pick-up, we should like to know about it.
