YOUR REF DATE 10th May, 1938. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, D E R B Y. For the attention of Mr. Steadman. Dear Sirs, In connection with the Experimental Radiator which we are making for you, we are enclosing herewith a print of our Sketch No. J.53, showing the dimensions of the matrix we propose to supply. With regard to the header tanks, we are proposing to use the same as will be required for production radiators. This will enable us to use the experimental matrix for the sample radiator, which you may subsequently require, without any further alteration. As mentioned on the 'phone, with the type of block which we are proposing to supply, the tanks shown on your drawings left with us by Mr.Steadman will require a small alteration. We are enclosing herewith a part print of your Drg. No. P.D.150 on which we have shown this modification, and shall be glad to have your confirmation that it can be accommodated on the sample radiator. We shall also be pleased to receive a copy of your working drawings for the top and bottom tanks, in order that these may be fitted to the matrix of the radiator required for test purposes.
