Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X4118 Hm {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} /WW13/W17.12.28. 20HP. Chassis GBM-22. F.H. Farrer, Esq., The Grange, Wergs, Nr.Wolverhampton. Referring to our telephone conversation of this morning concerning the above-mentioned car, and the complaint of noisy rear shock absorbers, which the Owner has made on this and a previous occasion: The Owner has now agreed to let us have the car at W. after the Christmas Holidays. As this appeared to be an opportunity for the Experimental Department to investigate another actual case, and we understand such an arrangement is agreeable to you, we have fixed up with the Owner to let us have the car on the 3rd. January next, or rather, we have suggested to the Owner that he should let us have the car on that date. It is scarcely likely that Mr. Farrer will want to leave the car here many days, and, as in addition to the noisy shock absorber complaint, there is also a complaint of incorrect functioning of the self-starter, we shall have to make some mutual arrangement in order that both jobs may be attended to with as little inconvenience as possible to Mr.Farrer. We are sending this memo to confirm our conversation and to enable you to be prepared to tackle the matter as promptly as possible when the car arrives here. Hm {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} /WW. | ||
