RECEIVED 31 MAR 1931 ROY{Sir Henry Royce} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} X2066 BY8/G.12.3.31. HYPOID AXLE LUBRICATION. Referring to ROY{Sir Henry Royce}6/MG.10.3.31. having had two serious setbacks with the Amber Gear Oil supposed to be the same as Whitmore's Compound 'O', we cannot make any move until the Experimental Department have thoroughly satisfied themselves as to its suitability. We are trying out Wakefield's special lubricant, which is promising, but here again its use in customers' cars is a long way off. After our experiences I am decidedly reluctant to initiate any change from Whitmore's Compound 'O'. By BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
