7th. November, 1939.

Messrs. Dunlop Rubber Co. Ltd.,
Fort Dunlop,
Erdington,
BIRMINGHAM, 24.

For the attention of Mr. H.E.Price.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letters of November 3rd. and November 6th.

Pressed Steel Wheels.

We notice that it is impossible to fit light weight 4" rims on to our present wheels, but you do not say whether it would be possible to fit some other form of 4" rim with either open or closed bead.

We should like to have your views on whether there is any way of providing the wheel we want using the existing centre. It would be exceedingly difficult for us at the moment, to get a new centre made by our present suppliers.

3.62 Section Well Base Rims.

The writer though we had already agreed to your proposed change in the valve for this wheel, but in case this was not so we have no objection to the change shown on CDO.3498, and should not mind replacement orders of wheels being delivered to that drawing.

Yours faithfully,
for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
