X8320 To B.J. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG23.7.25. NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I - CHANGE GEAR MECHANISM. Answering your BJL7/H22.7.25. We understand from your memo. that you refer to the new change gear and brake mechanism which is essential to chassis fitted with the subframe. The first cars we are making with this type of change gear mechanism are mostly 'B' steering because the subframe is being tested with enclosed bodies. We will also arrange to fit up an experimental open touring car with 'D' steering with these levers and submit it to Sales. We should be able to submit a 'B' steering car shortly after the holidays.
