Oy7 - G 3321 March 3, 1921 Dear Hives: Re: Induction Pipes We do not get entirely consistent results on induction pipes. I am enclosing print of the arrangement which we find works out best, but even with this we get occasional loading up on some cars after running on the brake at 10 m.p.h. (as described before) though not at 15 m.p.h. We think we have "isolated" another slight trouble, namely a small remaining "load up" even with the heated pipe, after descending a long hill. We attribute this to accumulation of petrol in the groove round the throttle, and so far find that if this is blocked up with solder at the bottom, the trouble is avoided. [Diagram showing a cross-section of a pipe] Throttle Solder Perhaps this is the throttle trouble to which you refer in your last letter. Oy. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley | ||
