'V' SERIES PETROL TANKS. X. 8460.

------------------

The vacuum tank on small dash is difficult to get in with the great capacity we need. It has been designed cylindrical in form, and half its length passed through the dash into the scuttle.

------------------

The back (main) petrol tank is to have a partition for spare petrol as suggested by Derby, (which I think better than my scheme of overflow tank and valve,) if the former is worked out with less weight and work. This will be done at WW. at once as follows :-

(1) A cork faced valve.
(2) Two filters of greater length and less dia. i.e. 3/4" tube light tube all the way up.
(3) One single bottom pot made to fit extension of partition, which latter is to be made very high, and to be fitted with 2 or 3 small holes at the correct level.
