ALLAN V.{VIENNA} NUTT, SOLICITOR. TELEPHONE 1019. St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} James's Chambers Derby AVN/ME. 1st August 1930. RECEIVED Dear Mr. DeLooze, Re F.{Mr Friese} V.{VIENNA} C. Halliwell Decd. I am endeavouring to ascertain whether Mrs. Halliwell is entitled to a Widow's pension under the Widows' etc. Pensions Act 1925 and shall be glad if you can kindly inform me whether the Deceased was insured under the National Health Insurance Acts during the last three years he was in your employ. The conditions to be complied with to enable a claim to be made under sec. 5 of the Widows' etc. Pension Act 1925 are as follows:- (a) That 104 weeks have elapsed and 104 contributions have been made by or in respect of the Deceased since the date of his entry into insurance; and (b) where 208 weeks or more have elapsed since the date of the entry of the Deceased into insurance, that the number of contributions paid, or deemed under the Act to have been paid by or in respect of him for the 3 contribution years immediately prior to his death represents on the average not less than 26 contributions, calculated in the prescribed manner in respect of each of those 3 years. Mrs. Halliwell informs me that she is under the impression that her husband was not insured under the National Health Insurance Act at the actual date of his death, but it occurs to me that he may possibly have been insured during a portion of 1. | ||
