For the attention of Mr. Martin-Hurst.

Dear Sirs,

Re Thermostats - E.86612.

We thank you for your letter of the 8th inst., and note your remarks re cost of thermostat units contained therein. However, as we need the units urgently we should like you to proceed with the order in question. In any case the length of bellows which you suggest (2") is impracticable for our purposes.

We send you herewith a print of a thermostat (EB.667) which you supplied to us approximately two years ago (15 in all were supplied) and which dictated our requirements in the case of the above thermostats E.86612. We should like to know whether you consider such a thermostat a production proposition, the temperature limits and range being the same as those requested in the case of thermostats E.86612. If you do so, we shall consider adopting this thermostat in place of the E.86612 one.

Trusting to receive the six units ordered with the minimum of delay.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
