STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.
Description of Parts. ORIGINAL
Rear Silencer - Swan neck fixed by means of bent drawn tube and flanges. (Scheme N.345).
Origin. To avoid the use of steel castings.
Drawing No. E.18548.
Part List. E.18548.

Experimental Test Report.
This avoids the use of heavy steel castings which are difficult to obtain. There is no alteration in the general scheme over the present standard.

Road Test Report.
Fitted to 6E.X.
Run 6,000 miles
No trouble.

B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works.
C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test.
