Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 6. B. IV. We have received the Wakefield's "EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}" Oil. The axle will be drained and filled with this oil as soon as convenient. The white metal bearings have arrived. We have also received seven Champion LB.9 plugs. The plug points of these plugs cannot be set, and they do not reach far enough into the cylinder. We do not like them. I have not received any instructions with regard to them, and I do not propose to start fitting three of one kind and three of another. It confuses the issue, as no bank of cylinders are the same. I should say 5.000 miles on each set of plugs should be satisfactory, but our test here is not covering the conditions that cause plug failures. ---------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W.
