Following completion of No.10 Unit No.16 will be the next unit on test.

This is a complete new unit incorporating solid rockers and camshaft to suit LeC.5401 also other up-to-date features.

Completion of tests preparatory to being fitted in B.56.BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} chassis.

B.24.

Completion of tests in accordance with the previous memo.

B.18 Unit

This unit to follow B.24. is being assembled for endurance as follows:-

1. Crankshaft has 4 - .125 holes in each pin.

2. Main bearings in N.S.5. (Cadmium Nickel)

3. Big ends 3 in A.C.6. and 3 std. AC.7.

Endurance to consist of full throttle running only at usual speeds for 25 hours. Oil inlet temperature at 100°C. and note that the pressure with the large capacity pump should be 30 - 35 lbs/sq.in. Do not run on Ethyl as we do not want to risk having a valve failure to interfere with run of bearings.
