Special parts included are new liners:- Hepworth & Grandage. British Piston Ring Co. Standard. New standard pistons but with L. section 2nd. compression rings and high press. scrapers. 4 port deturbulated heads with std. compression ratio 6.1 Test as follows:- 1. Running in and power curve. 2. 1.000 starts on the starter motor. 3. Check ignition curves with exhaust silencer and on Ethyl as follows - (a) Line to give max. power. (b) " to be clear of detonations. (c) Actual curve given by governor with the hand control fixed the ignitions being set std. that is 13° A.side 15° B.side. 4. Leaks etc. to be cured on the bed. Check for piston knocks starting cold. 5. Run one hour oil consumption. 6. Observe if engine gears are O.K. to go into car without attention. continued | ||
