We have now provided a spring drive for these units, thus we shall not require the sprocket drive fitting on the governor shaft; our springs drive attachment will fit your shaft, so we can fit it at these works. We require a good synchronizing tool for these distributors, for use in service, can you recommend one suitable for our use? We have had no further breaking of the contact lever pads since we changed to the thicker pad, however, we have had one car, in which the rate of wear was criticised, we are carrying out tests to prove this, at the moment we consider this due to lack of lubrication.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
