To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7380 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M23.7.26. EAC.7. REAR BRAKES. X.360 X.380 Herewith we send N.sch. 2232 shewing the modifications to the rear brake operating gear and frame gussets, which are needed to allow the hydraulic shock dampers to be fitted. The majority of the pieces on the axle have been modified to some extent, including a slight alteration to the machining of the tube. As we previously advised we have had to alter the gusset to give clearance for the battery, and we have pushed the position shewn on N.sch.2207 back .5". The lower gusset and carrier levers are now deleted, but will be replaced if found desirable by experiment. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
