YOUR REF. ..................
OUR REF. W/C.151.
15th January 1924.

Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
Nightingale Road,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,
For the attention of Mr. Fowler Clark.

With reference to your request for particulars for your large battery in your laboratory, we have submitted details of this to our Works who suggest that you do not have a motor car type of cell at all, but one of our F.A. type cells, which is a Plantè positive and box grid negative type of element. It would be in a glass box, open, and it is suggested that "Blancol" should be poured on the surface of the acid.

The F.A.9. type of cell has a capacity of 200 ampere hours at the 10 hour rate, and the F.A.11., 250.

Our price for the F.A.9. is £3.1.4. per cell, and for the F.A.11. £3.15.6.

We should suggest the latter but if you do not wish to spend so much on it, the former would no doubt do.

The life of these cells ought to be very long.

X4615 With regard to our having fixed up anything with Mr. McKinnon re the new 40/50 battery, we are held up on this for the moment pending the receipt of your chassis frame box. As soon as this comes to hand we shall be able to settle in a day or two.

Yours faithfully,
PETO & RADFORD.
G.R.N.Minchin
