To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/KW.18.9.41. 1212, re 14 HP. Car. Since speaking to you about this the other day I have been looking up some of the back papers. From what you said I gathered that the engine in this car is the 2.02 litre - 13.95 HP. R.A.C., as per sheet No. PL.139 of March 1940. That sheet showed the above engine in a chassis with a 9' 2" wheelbase and called 'Rippletto'. I am not sure whether the car is a 9' 8" or 9' 2" wheelbase. I tried to measure it up but with the enclosed back wheels found it rather difficult. What I am really interested to know is, from a power/weight ratio point of view, how nearly representative of a Rippletto this car really is. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
