To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}9/KW.17.9.41. 1212 re 14 HP. Car. Thanks for Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/ET.14.9.41. I was not really taking any serious notice of the petrol consumption, as I realised that the power/weight ratio was very unfavourable. I have noticed that the roadometer part of the speedometer reads about 20% fast, for instance, from here to Crewe station it reads 61 miles, whereas actually it is about 52. I do not think that the speedometer part is wrong to the same extent, if it was one would be getting a very wrong impression of the car's performance. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
