PROGRESS MEETING.

REPORT FOR 20TH MAY AT WHICH, BY, MR SWIFT, MR HIVES, & BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} WERE PRESENT.

The general difficulties which have been experienced in connection with alterations, and the reasons for these difficulties, were discussed freely, and it was found to be impracticable to make a clean sweep owing to the intervening time having been insufficient to enable Mr. Bailey to be sure that he had traced them all, and it was agreed at this meeting points should be raised by Mr. Swift and Mr. Bailey, dealing with certain of these alterations, and the remainder would, it was hoped be cleared at the next meeting.

Alt. No. 4167 E Woodruff Key E.14704, is to be added to E.1747 Governor Drive supervision sheet. This is due to D.O. Omission. It was agreed that this alteration should be proceeded with.

Alt. No. 4172 E, it is necessary to alter E.17228, Control Joint Bolt, owing to D.O. error. It was agreed that this must be proceeded with.

Alt. No. 4168 E E.6788, Control Joint has been added to E.17157. Distributor supervision sheet. This alteration is to correct a D.O. omission, and it was agreed that this should be proceeded with.

Alt. No. 4176 E The radius of the bosses for the Wheelcase Joint Flange on E.2821 Crankcase Lower half, has been reduced to .375 from .500 to agree with the Wheelcase Facing on the Crankcase Top Half. This is apparently, a very old D.O. error, and it was agreed that the alteration should be proceeded with.

Alt. No. 496 F, It is proposed to increase the size of the turned down end of Plunger F.7048, and the corresponding dimensions for Collar F.7047, as these have been found weak. It was agreed that that should be proceeded with, subject to confirmation by Mr. Swift who desired an opportunity to look into the matter.
