Continental Phantom III.

Further to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}11/MJ.14.8.36, instructing the parts we shall have to bump before we are certain we can use them on the lightened chassis, we have now decided that we shall have to continue to make part G.84258 in steel. This piece takes the buffer load on both bump and rebound, and we think will fail in aluminium if made to the same drawing.

We hope, however, that you will go ahead with the aluminium main spring pots, patterns for which already exist.

We have visited John Thomson concerning side members in .080 material, and they hope to deliver a pair in about a month's time.

As soon as the aluminium suspension parts are ready they should be fitted to the bumper chassis.

We should also like to get on the bump the parts instructed in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}19/KW.1.9.36.
