THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. Limited. Sheet No... 2...... Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. 19/1/38 that a reversal of the poppet valve will not meet the case. As soon as this design is ready, we will send you the necessary drawings and ask Mr. Fisher to call upon you. In connection with the leather piston assembly, we note your remarks and we shall watch this point very carefully. We agree to your request regarding the length of the bush. In reference to your remarks concerning the locking of the throttle securing screws for the EEC-42 carburetter, we could, as you suggest, swage over the end of the screws, but since steel screws are used we think there is a possibility, should these screws have to be withdrawn at any time, that the threads in the throttle spindle itself would be damaged to such an extent that a new throttle spindle would be required. For our own part we much prefer our original suggestion of putting a blob of solder round the head of the screw, and we trust that on a second consideration you will be prepared to agree to this suggestion. Yours faithfully, THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. LTD. A.E. Palmer AEP/KD | ||
