NOTES ON A DISCUSSION re MYTH.

Held on 24.8.40.


A discussion was held to outline a programme for the Myth.

1. FRONT SUSPENSION.
Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG will give Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} a drawing of the wheelbarrow i.e. the frame portion of the motor car forward of the dashboard, by Thursday of next week.

2. REAR ENGINE SUSPENSION.
Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG. will give Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} a picture of the floor and the cross-member round the rear engine suspension, by the 30th. August. A more complete picture of the rear suspension and the frame, to enable the design of the spring fixing and rear shock absorber attachments, to go forward by September 4th.

3. PETROL TANK.
Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG. will give Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} a drawing showing the external shape of the petrol tank.

4. TRANSMISSION LINE.
Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} was asked to supply exact figures for the slope of the transmission line.

5. INSTRUMENTS.
Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will let Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG have prints of the various arrangements of instruments that have been done by Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD{J. Draper - Frames} and when a scheme has been worked out that is generally acceptable, Allan will make a water colour picture of it.

6. CHASSIS DESIGN WORK.
It was agreed that Griffiths should be kept on gun work, supplemented by one other draughtsman where necessary. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/TAS.{T. Allan Swinden} will work with Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} and Peak
