X8520 c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY6/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 5. 5. 26. R.R. HYDRAULIC SHOCK DAMPERS. Referring to Rl/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 17. 4. 26. I ought to have written before stating that we do not understand the apparent difficulty that Mr.Royce encountered. It appears to us that N.Scheme 2089 is quite in order. On 7-EX. we are aware that the wing support was forward of the standard position, as a part of the dipping headlight scheme, but if the shock damper had been fitted in the correct relationship instructed, we do not see that it could possibly have fouled anything else. The facts of the case being as above, then it appears to us that Mr.Royce is merely criticising the design from the point of view that we are crowding six bolts into a small area of the frame where two of the bolts are unnecessary. Possibly this is the way you read the criticism, and you will therefore be giving the matter attention in accordance with R's memo quoted. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [Handwritten signature] | ||
