Dixon - Fuel Systems} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.10.8.39. 12-B-V.{VIENNA} We are putting this car in the Shop for final adjustments before it commences its mileage. Will you please carry out the following work:- (1) Examine the steering in conjunction with PJH. and ascertain why it is heavier than it should be and rectify this defect. (2) Examine the change gear mechanism which is sticky and heavy, and correct. (3) Replace the petrol gauge and hand over existing gauge to Dixon for examination. (4) Will Dixon please examine the petrol filler and report to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} why it does not function satisfactorily. (5) We want the new scheme for the propeller shaft fitted. (6) Check over the location of the Rev. counter drive and eliminate the sharp bend which is alleged to cause knocks. Having done this, will you please show the final arrangement to Ey/RD. (7) Will Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} please check up the question of body defects, such as wind screen, and rattle from the window wiping mechanism with Park Wards. (8) Latest Avon tyre should be fitted off S.B. (9) The selector springs in the gearbox should be brought up to the latest practice. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
