(6) Casing lugs made smaller and secured with two rivets only.
(7) Countersunk screws used throughout on the face of the box for neatness, and the ammeter secured with 7BA instead of 5BA.
(8) Sheet metal backing plate added behind instrument board to take pressure of bolts securing switchbox.
(9) Titles of switches etc. on face of box, to be die cast in raised letters, and spaces between titles to be even.

If the aluminium pressing which forms the cover cannot be made in the shape shewn, then it will be altered to two pieces, the extension for covering in the bridge piece being fitted as a separate pressing or die casting.

Referring again to the model switchbox, this lacked the oilways shewn on the first LeC. drawing, for lubricating the plungers. Further, there were no countersunk screws in the oil holes on the face of the box.

Would you kindly put in hand the necessary work as detailed above, and shewn on LeC.1161 and proceed with standardisation.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
