S/W. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/D29.7.29. re La{L. A. Archer} Salle Car. Referring to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}15/D23.7.29, you will have received a copy of R2/M26.7.29, and whilst the information given in regard to aero engine is very interesting, he has not commented on the question of the Graham-Paige or what car, if any, is to be purchased in place of the La{L. A. Archer} Salle. As I believe you were down at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town last week perhaps you can give me some information on this point. I do not know whether you or Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} have tried the Graham-Paige, but in view of Mr. de Salamanca's remarks I think that we ought to try it before making up our minds which line we propose to work on.
